Privacy Policy

This explains what this website collects, why, and who else sees it. It is written to describe what the site actually does rather than to cover every eventuality.

01Who we are

McCo Media is a commercial photography, video and podcast studio at 900 Haddon Ave Suite 213, Collingswood, NJ 08108. You can reach us on (609) 200-5359 or through the contact form on this site.

This policy covers this website only. It does not cover the separate agreement that governs a commissioned shoot, which is set out in the contract for that project.

02What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. There is no account system and no tracking or advertising software on this site.

  • Contact form: your first and last name, email address, project type and project details. Optionally your phone number, an event or shoot date, and how you heard about us.
  • Project Advisor: the description of your project that you type into it. This tool does not ask for contact details, and nothing is attached to you unless you then submit the contact form.
  • Chat: the messages you type into the chat assistant and, if you choose to leave them, your name, email address, phone number and a note about what you need.
  • Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up on the homepage.
  • Server logs: our host records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, which is used to operate and secure the site.

03Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or session tracking.

If you send a message in the chat, it keeps the conversation in your browser until you close the tab, so it follows you between pages, and stores a random identifier that is not linked to your name.

When you start filling in the contact form, the newsletter signup or the Project Advisor, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person rather than a bot. It sends Cloudflare your IP address and technical details about your browser, and may use cookies that are strictly necessary for that check.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address in order to serve them. We do not receive any data from Google in return.

04How we use it

We use what you send us to answer your enquiry and to quote and deliver work you ask for. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing.

  • Replying to your enquiry and discussing your project.
  • Preparing a quote and, if you go ahead, producing and delivering the work.
  • Keeping a record of correspondence relating to a project.
  • Sending the newsletter, if you signed up for it. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe.

05Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers to run this site. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

  • Vercel — hosts this website and processes requests to it.
  • Resend — delivers the contact form to our inbox as an email.
  • Google (Gmail) — where enquiry emails are received and stored.
  • OpenAI — receives the project description you type into the Project Advisor in order to generate a recommendation. Do not enter confidential information into it.
  • Automate XYZ — runs the chat assistant, including the AI that writes its replies, and passes on any details you leave in the chat. Do not enter confidential information into it.
  • SendFox — stores newsletter subscribers' email addresses and sends the newsletter.
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile) — checks that the contact form, newsletter signup and Project Advisor are being used by people rather than bots.
  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site.

06How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept in our inbox so we have a record of the conversation, and of any project that follows. If you would like us removed, ask and we will delete what we hold, unless we are required to keep it for tax or legal reasons.

Newsletter addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe.

07Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details above and we will respond.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. We will honour those requests regardless of where you are.

08Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

09Security

This site is served over HTTPS and enquiries are transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information through the contact form or the chat.

10Changes

If this policy changes we will update it here and revise the date at the top of the page.
